Test Assembling the (Difazio) Hub Center
All the parts laid out.
The front Axle and Pivot pressed
together but not welded yet
Really moving along. What is the turning circle of the front end? I'm also curious to know what you consider to be the weaknesses are of the front steering hub design? Thanks, Ron.
The turning circle on the bike is probably going to be measured in hundreds of feet. Once it's assembled the steering lock to lock will be very small as this bike is designed to go more or less in a straight line. the little bit of steering will be for course correction and not turning. That said right now it has only slightly less than my Triumph street bike has but I don't know the figures off the top of my head. the number 30degrees each side comes to mind. The turning circle on the bike is probably going to be measured in hundreds of feet. Hello, I'm currently working on a custom bagger and I would love to incorporate a hub steering on the bike but I lack the machinery to build one, so my question is would you be willing to sell a hub and how much? My email is Garcia2041@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteI was also going to ask why weld the front axle and pivot, isn't centering going to be an issue? Ron.
